JOINING THIS YEAR IN 2025…
Jennifer Langford
Jennifer Langford is serving with Pioneers in Mandritsara, in the beautiful and humid north of Madagascar. There she is homeschooling the children of four English speaking families so that their parents are more fully released to serve in the Good News Hospital.
Hopitaly Vaovao Mahafaly provides needed medical care to a large region with a radius of 200km. Sharing the good news is a vital part of the care, as evangelists, doctors and hospital staff share the love of Christ, pray with patients and provide high quality medical care.
Jennifer is learning the local language, Malagasy, getting involved with the local church as well as helping with a weekly outreach games afternoon for the children in the neighbourhood.
Owen & Lynda Prout
Owen and Lynda were married in 1994. Owen has been involved in full-time Christian ministry since 1997. Having spent 12 years at Youth Dimension in various roles in equipping the local church for mission, he then became Lead Pastor at St Luke’s Cockatoo for 12 years.
Along with Lynda, Owen was involved in community ministry and saw many people become Jesus followers, baptised and discipled.
Lynda headed up the Hills Community Strengthening Initiative (HCSI) which reached out to the most at-risk and vulnerable families. At the end of 2020, Lynda and Owen rejoined Youth Dimension with a passion to equip churches in local community and school’s outreach. Lynda has developed a Primary School lunchtime program and Owen heads up secondary schools’ outreach and Blue Moose Summer Missions. Owen is a long-suffering St Kilda supporter and is married to a Collingwood fan. That last day in September 2010 was a difficult moment in their marriage! On a serious note, Owen and Lynda love following Jesus and are passionate about local church mission in the community.
