David Cook

David graduated from Sydney Missionary and Bible College (SMBC) and Moore Theological College. A Presbyterian Christian minister, he served 6 years at Wee Waa (Country NSW) and 4 years at Ashfield in inner Sydney.

He was the Principal of SMBC (1986-2011) and lectured in Preaching at the college. He was also the Chairman of the Katoomba Christian Convention for 13 years (1991-2004).

David is married to Maxine (53 years), they have 5 adult children and 17 grandchildren. They currently attend Drummoyne Presbyterian Church where both are in active service.

In their spare time, David enjoys sport, particularly cricket and Rugby League. Maxine reads and gardens.

Josiah Watson

Josiah is passionate about seeing the next generation equipped and transformed for Jesus. Having served in Youth Ministry over the last 5 years, Josiah has seen the immense impact that the Gospel have on young people. As Youth Pastor at Follow Baptist Church, Josiah has seen the development of their Breakfast Club at a local Secondary School, Lunch Programs in several local schools, a monthly Sunday program aimed at transitioning primary school aged children into secondary school, a new discipleship course called YBAC and Youth Church.

Josiah met his wife Naomi at the youth ministry they now lead in 2019. Naomi and Josiah have had the opportunity to lead worship together in youth and church contexts, and Naomi directed Youth Church from the beginning of 2023 until her departure from youth ministry at the end of 2024 as she began her Masters of Teaching.

Josiah completed the Youth Dimension Internship in 2022, which sparked his passion for schools ministries. He has also been studying at the Melbourne School of Theology, working towards his Bachelor of Ministry. Josiah is excited to continue following God’s calling to Youth Ministry.
